Balboa Park Engagement Session

Sunset engagement session in Balboa Park complete with special appearance by red lab pup, Beau.

When Gloria reached out to do her engagement photos, it was important for her to have a location that matched the aesthetic for their wedding in Italy. (Swoon!) While Balboa Park was our first thought, we searched high and low through San Diego and Temecula to find a location that might have beautiful architectural touch reminiscent of Italy. But sometimes its important to go with the obvious choice, because after our searching we found that Balboa Park was the best! Between the Spreckels Organ Pavilion, the courtyards and fountains, we have many background options that fit the description.

The second requirement for their engagement photos was that their 2-year old red Labrador retriever, Beau, make an appearance in the shoot! (Swoon again). And that dude STOLE the show! I’ve never seen a dog make love to a camera like he did. Made. For. The. Spotlight. And the second the camera wasn’t on him, he (very, very loudly) voiced his objections! (There is a great photo of “mom & dad’s” reaction to this). This dog needs an agent ASAP!

Enjoy some photos from this romantic (Italian-esque, if you will!), Balboa Park dog engagement shoot!
(If this sentence doesn’t make sense, it’s fine, I’m trying out some things for SEO)
